That I was coming to debase myself by begging to be accepted at Sarah Lawrence...why didn't I update my Facebook page

Better late than never. Last week was killer at work for me so I watched the episode but am just now getting around to the hard work of blogging about it.
Trip Vanderbilt (love that name)comes to see Nate and invite him to the Vanderbilt family reunion. Nate is resistant because he feels like he and his mom had been abandoned by the family. Eventually he goes and returns to his grandfather's good graces. Vanessa and Dan talk him into it and then go as moral support. The weekend has football, small talk, cocktails, this all culminates with the reception at the country house. Vanessa learns that grandfather has plans for Nate that will shape the rest of his life from Trip's fiance. It looks like Nate can't say no and will be spending the summer internship at the mayor's office instead of traveling around eastern Europe with Vanessa. He chose his family. This could be the end of Vanessa and Nate. Dan is sarcastic and flippant throughout with all of his side comments to Vanessa and I really enjoy it; "do you think the Humphry's have a crest, something Jenny could stitch onto my cardigan?" and in something Vanessa might sneak in her purse "liberal agenda, universal health care, education reform, increasing the estate tax." I love him.
Lily and Rufus have a ridiculous conversation which ends in them making a list of all the people they slept with. They are acting like high school kids. Serena happens upon the list and is embarrassed/intrigued by all the names (Trent Reznor and Slash) Serena wakes her up to the fact that it might be a little uneven numbers wise. Lily hides one page of the list but Rufus finds it. They have some words but in the end they decide the whole list thing was a bad idea. (duh) They are a waste of time for me as a viewer and I tire easily of their foolishness.
Blair is having a great time living life on the wild side with Carter. Chuck is finally ready to love Blair and things are not working out, again. Blair is ready to leave it all behind, not even trying to get into college anymore. Serena finally gets rid of Carter by bringing up information from an illicit and mysterious trip to Santorini. Serena and Chuck find Blair begging for admission into Sarah Lawrence. Even they won't take her. This is the final straw and leads to her trying to undo herself at the Vanderbilt reception. Blair crashes the party and is hell bent on destroying herself. She is blasting people with the truth. Chuck and Serena are trying to do damage control but it is difficult. Blair offers herself to Chuck again but he only wants the "real" Blair. She claims she is gone forever.
Nate and Blair finally reconnect in some secluded area. They reminisce and Blair is very honest about how lost she feels. Nate feels the same way. They also talk about how they shouldn't have to apologize for being who they are and their wealth.
Nate takes Blair home and they are upstairs in his room when Chuck comes to look for her (He is going to try to fight for her and make her feel safe.). He recognizes the jacket with the crest that Nate leaves downstairs. What exactly happened between Nate and Blair? She asked him to stay but that is all we got to see.
XOXO
